Saw that one too Scott. It looks a deep and contrasting Fireglo, but we have to remember that it has been through a 1960s print process before scanning for the internet.scotty wrote:Found a great pic of Petes 1998 yesterday.

Here's my Jet-glo Model 1997VB. It originally had an Ac'cent vibrato, but I changed it to a Bigsby B5.
Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
I love JG 1997s Looks great hows the B5 holding the tuning of the guitar?
Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
April 1998, but not a 1998 Model...it's a 1997SPC reissue.

Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
I did have tuning issues until I finally replaced the Ric Deluxe tuners with Schaller Minis. I know that throws off the vintage vibe a little, but it's a player, really, so it made a lot of sense. Glad I did it, because I haven't had any tuning issues since then. I swapped the Ac'cent for the B5 for the same reason--playability. The Ac'cent was creaky, and I guess the placement of the bridge pickup was close enough to the Ac'cent that it was amplifying the creaking noise. Either that, or the bridge pickup was microphonic enough. So now it stays in tune great, and the action on the Bigsby is very smooth.scotty wrote:I love JG 1997s Looks great hows the B5 holding the tuning of the guitar?

Gorgeous guitar! If I had the trapeze, I'll bet I wouldn't have had all the tuning issues with mine.godber wrote:April 1998, but not a 1998 Model...it's a 1997SPC reissue.
I sure hope that Rickenbacker releases another round of Rose-Morris reissues. But if they pick only one, I'd like it to be the 1993/12.
Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
A 1993 reissue would be very good news indeed.

Here's the same guitar a couple of years ago--the camera was a little closer than the other shot. This was taken before I had the Schaller minis installed.
