Yes, it would be very easy to add to the line. But we're not sure we wish to do so under the circumstances.

There's nothing reworked about it. We did completely new, full CNC programming for this instrument, both body and neck. Even more the shame should we decide not to produce it.

That's probably a serious investment, so I'd guess that you had plans to bring it into production sooner or later.

Has Mike Campbell's decision to allow Duesenberg to produce another signature model affected your planning?

I wouldn't worry Len - even though the 350v89 will likely meet the same fate as the 650JB, you seem to have a knack for figuring out how to get 'em anyway!

The black jb looks thicker than the green one. Illusion? So I read In another thread that the wiring was pretty neat, and varied as they designed the brown model. Is there (a link or) resource where I can read about the different jb wiring schemes?


My 2 cents. ... I would not sacrifice a 350 for either project. The 24 fret Liverpool is kind of a rare beast. I would procure a used 650, and use the nice wide neck. If you want the standard neck buy a 330 or 610. The 650s and 330s are less expensive (used) and have 24 fret necks. If you want the R tail piece take it off your 350 and put a bigsby on it and then sell it.

The 650 has a wide neck but it's a neck-through design rather than a glued-in neck. Its recessed pickups and modern bridge makes the height of the fretboard off the body different than the 330/350 series. The neck heel is also carved in a way that's not like the 330/350s.

The 330 has a narrow neck, as you noted. It also has dark wood wings on its headstock, which doesn't matter for a Jetglo guitar, but would for a guitar that is to have a headstock that is all light wood.

The 610's neck is also neck-though.

I think you're right and the black one is thicker... semi-hollow maybe?

All are the same thickness, all are solid bodies.

There were six different wiring/pickup schemes tested as I recall but for the moment don't recall where I recorded that info. The schemes did involve humbuckers, hi gain single coils, and some reverse wound variations to allow some humbucking arrangements of single coils.

The HB1 humbuckers (in my humble opinion) are among the best things that have come out of Rickenbacker in recent years! Incredibly versatile (if you're into hot wiring) but just a fabulous sound - especially on my 4003! I'd hazard a guess that they outperform some of the pickups (mentioning no names) that are supplied by the renowned pickup manufacturers.
