Bruce Foxton
I will interview Bruce Foxton soon. By mail, but still nice:) Any questions for him from you guys?
Re: Bruce Foxton
Well yes!
*the obvious question; why did he switch from Rickenbackers to precision basses? He stated before that he wanted more bottom punch, so wasn't he aware of the inline capacitor that filters the bass out of the treble pickup?
*why did he make me desperately want to buy Rickenbackers? Why?

Chris P,
Wow, an interview with Bruce Foxton! Can't wait to read it.
Questions about:
What amps he actually liked to use back in the day, and what he chooses to play through now. Were the Vox V125 bass amps any good?
Just the whole raging punk scene and his ideas about where he and the Jam fit within those times. How did that band form? Were they friends first or did they meet as professionals? A playlist of his favorite tunes from that era, from the Jam, other contemporary artists and his influences.
What's he up to now? Who's he listening to-whats on his current playlist?

Re: Bruce Foxton
I'm curious about how much time he put into composing some of those basslines. So many of them are just too melodic to have been improvised - or is he just that good?
Were the songs/basslines mostly born out of jamming? Or constructed in the studio?

Re: Bruce Foxton
what bass did he use on 'Funeral pyre', and did he think of that riff himself?
Re: Bruce Foxton
On the That's Entertainment video he used a Ric with precision pickups. Was this a real Ric or the 4001 copy that his girlfriend bought him, & does he still have it.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Bruce Foxton
I'd like to know if he still has the Ruby 4001 he used on 'This is the Modern World'.
