I subscribe to ESPN sports magazine and was surprised to see a new version of the famous Rick James album cover in the latest issue:

Others images in the magazine are Photoshopped (or similar) but this one looks to be all new.

I must say that it's the first time I've seen a Rickenbacker anything in a sports magazine.

But check out the inlays, the tailpiece and pup spacing (and Grovers) on this one - an early-73 WHT!

That's a pretty rare bass indeed!

Ok, this may have been covered before.....but does anyone know where RJ's white Rick bass is now?

That's a very cool FWI white bass. Wonder if it's an original finish?

Shari & I saw it at the Rock Hall last Fall, I believe it is still there.
