Thanks for the demo Eden.

Hey Eden,
I LOVED IT!
Thanks for making that video! I know of a LOT of T-40 folks that would love to see it! LOL, Sea of Mud! LOLOLOLOL...
I've always been so inept trying to explain this bass to folks. THIS puts that issue to rest. If it's ok with you, I'll send this out to all the T40 lovers out there via FB, TB, T40 & T60 Froums.
Well done, well done!

Yes, great demo! Makes me think I'm really going to have to check one of these out...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Re: The secret sounds of the Peavey T-40
The T-40 is a great bass. The only issue I have with it is it reminds me of my Fender/Warmoth Jazz Bass in that it is very heavy. If you can handle the weight on the shoulder through a show, the tones the bass has are quite good.
Re: The secret sounds of the Peavey T-40
I have a really nice 4" (not sure of the proper material name) neoprene padded guitar strap with leather ends.
Its like getting a massage every time I play my T-40. It makes a HUGE difference over those thin, shoulder cutting straps.

Sounds like it might be almost as comfy as my custom made strap. It's about 5 inches wide across the shoulder. 'Course, mine might not quite fit everyone's style...ajish4 wrote:I have a really nice 4" (not sure of the proper material name) neoprene padded guitar strap with leather ends.

WOW, a 5" strap! I don't think I've ever seen one like that!cjj wrote:Sounds like it might be almost as comfy as my custom made strap. It's about 5 inches wide across the shoulder. At it's widest, it's about 9 inches wide! As far as I know, nobody actually makes 'em. I made this with a "Roper Cinch", which is the strap that goes under a horse's belly and holds the saddle on. It has to be comfortable enough on the horse (and strong enough) to support a 40 lb saddle, a rider, and several hundred pounds of steer pulling against the horn: Anyway, supporting a mere bass comfortably ain't nuthin'.ajish4 wrote:WOW, a 5" strap! I just got a couple of cheapo, leather guitar straps and cut the ends off so the cinch sat at the right position:
