Stunning 4004CIIFG in Guitarist Magazine
If only I had the cash!!
Listed as £2680 (ouch!) by the way....
The review is by none other than Roger Newell.
The bass gets a (Fire)glowing review and the "Guitarist Choice" stamp of approval.
I particularly love the retro look of the headstock which even with modern gold Schallers still has that 50s 4000 vibe.
A stunner.

I got to play a couple of the new Cii's recently. I was just gobsmacked by the incredible finishes (FG and A very purple TB)on them,as well as the fab quality feel. I love the 4004 series in general, and own 2 '04 's,but it really seems like they are getting even better in the last few years.

The 4004 series might be finally starting to see much more well deserved glory.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Is it available online?
Other than the brass hardware on the Cii, I love the 4004 aesthetic... I would think binding with a slab top would look great on one too. The tone of the stock model is excellent, I do not get the comments about it being dark. (Then again I think a really bright bass tone is hard to listen to, especially in isolation.) It would be cool if they were more popular, but then again I think they are already more common than we think. Wildwood always seems to be getting some more in stock, and they always end up selling out of them in a few months.

It's actually gold plated. None of it is made from brass, except the pickup covers, which are plated anyway..cassius987 wrote:Is it available online?

Oh, I didn't know it was "real" gold. Still... not my cuppa. Chrome for me.
