I can get pretty close using my ART Phat Boy flanger/reverb settings with an EBS envelope filter. I used to have a Mutron 3 and still think its probably the best auto wah around.

An envelope filter is like a wah-pedal that's controlled by the dynamics of your playing, as opposed to working the pedal manually with your foot. The Brassmaster is a combination of a bass fuzz/distortion and octave effect (IIRC).

I have a Maestro W-2 "Sound system for Woodwinds" (designed to work with reed instruments) that does a similar fuzz+octave kind of thing. I have an example of that processing bass here: http://www.hillscloud.com/music/Horizon.mp3. It comes in on the lead part around 0:25 (Alembic Distillate bass->Maestro W-2->Sola Sound wah pedal->Alembic F2-B preamp). There's also an example of envelope filter (Ashdown) in there around 1:10 processing the bass (a Gibson Triumph).

WOW!!!!! I like that clip!!!! VERY cool.....a lot of things happening there. I dig the bass sounds in it.

The Harmonized Rick would have been the neck pickup thru the Eventide H910 probably with a flanger setting, though it might have been a pitch shift which would give a similar sound. He also used a Mutron-III on the bridge pickup. He only used the neck pickup thru the Brassmaster.
