If I didn't have one on order, I would give some serious consideration to it for $5K.....and would jump on it for $4K.
Look at how much the CS's are going for compared to what they sold for as new.....the LK, I think, will perform as good or better eventhough Lemmy isn't as "mainstream" as Chris Squire.
I only wish that I had ordered two.....and I can't wait to see it next to my Motorhead tattoo Image

Anyone know how many of the 60 total units of this model actually have been made so far?

I purchased my Lemmy back in 2002 - It was in the window at Sam Ash in NYC. At the time, I paid 2K even. Mine is #9 - I once saw #11 on ebay a few years ago, and it was removed from auction. I have no idea how many have been made at this point.

Needless to saw, i'll be watching this auction with GREAT interest...

I'm afraid Ed's rants leave me a little cold. It sounds like what his real beef with ebay is is that he can't but a $2000 guitar and flip it for $10,000 like the good old days. I'd love a LK, but I can neither afford nor justify that kind of money for a guitar. From the sounds of it, we Shadow owners have a rarer guitar, and I doubt most of us paid more than $1500 for it used.
I also agree that it is sad that customers who probably paid up to 20% or more for their LKs still don't have them however many years later.

I think the price I agreed to when I put my 20%deposit down with Mike Parks was $1799 (give/take a buck or two).
I emailed John Hall a few weeks ago with questions/comments relating to the LK's and was told in his prompt response that he expects the run to be completed by summer of '05.
I would also be interested in how many have actually made it out of the factory....

Brian,

Is the price you were quoted for the LK when you put down the deposit staying the same?

I think my '67 4005WB is MUCH rarer and I paid $175.00 for it!

I'm going to break my no-posting rule only for this quick note.

Be advised that this bass is previous owned.

The folks that put down dealer deposits (which we don't get any part of) should be sad all the way to the bank. The list is $1799 for these buyers and they're already trading hands for at least twice that.
