Probably around $5000 for that! It's a rare bass in a rarer colour...

While Red is not all that rare, the Redneck is, with only 125 said to have been made. Among that number, it is said that perhaps less than a dozen eight-stringers were made. Production number can't be verified, even with the "certified" limited editions, without access to company records.

Ya'll calling me a redneck? I are one, but wish I had one of them babies!

Paul - what a great story about how you picked up the bass on tour. That makes it extra special I'm sure!

Haha its obviously good to be a redneck! And yes it was a great find, the shop that sold me it must have not had a clue what they were selling me and to be honest I didn't appreciate what I had purchased until recently! I got it for next to nothing, one of the luckiest finds ever by the sounds of it :) it was one of the biggest music stores in Germany called sessions music In a place called walldorf, so how they didn't know its worth I don't know!

At the time these brilliant instruments were produced, they may well have been slow sellers due to their somewhat outlandish appearance. Once an instrument has been on the shelf for a period, retailers will mark it down until it moves. Of course, this doesn't make your redneck any less of a brilliant deal....

No problems at all for sharing, I will post some more pics when I can. I want to take some good ones for when I register it, It has only one mark on it and that is a graze beside the input jack like if it has been put down without a stand a few times..... other than that there is not even slight scratch marks anyware, The paint is like it just came out the factory and so are the frets......its had an easy life by the looks of it! And again thanks for all the welcomes to the forum.....very friendly place to be from what I seen so far :) haha or do you get banned from the forum if you mention anything like Fender!! Lol
