Another Shadow On The Bay

Let me think about that for a second......ok,I'm done!!! Although I LOVE the Shadow basses, the 4005 is ME!! I certainly can't trade away ME , can I??

They keep getting recycled.....very few "new" ones show up....

I want all "50".....BWAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAA!!!!

Except Ted's and JH's.....I can't afford theirs

I've had to concede that unless I re-mortgage my house I can't afford to buy another Ricky bass so I've used the trc off a recent ebay project purchase and made myself a new scratchplate - it's not quite a Shadow but it'll do until more funds become available

Looks swish that does. I'm not much for the white edge on the pickguard, but it sure still does look good.

I don't normally care for the white edge pickguard either but it looks nice with the white binding. Just a thought....maybe try getting some thin white pickguard material and make a piece for under the TRC so it looks like a laminate like the pickguard....I think it would tie things together nicely.

I really like the white outline of the pickguard. Much like Brian said, it looks as if it "goes" with the binding. Now that's got my wheels spinning for my 4003 JG

The white outlined pickguard is not only awesome looking, but I have not seen another one ever like that. Cool and original!

I would have used a plain black pickguard had the body been completely black so it would match the 330 in the background but as the body has the white binding I felt that the white pinstripe went better.

That idea for a thin white plate under the TRC is a damn fine idea that could be tried for very little outlay

I'll post a pic once I've tried it out ..
