Final cover

Post by bassduke49 »

Here is the (almost) final cover design of the book. You're looking at the outside of the cover spread out as it will be printed. The two panels on the outside edges are the cover's flaps. This is not a dust jacket, but looks like one. The book is "soft cover" and will be "perfect bound" -- that is the type of binding where the pages are glued into the soft cover with a flat spine. The only thing that is still not final is the addition of the UPC code and some other legalese that will go where the little black boxes are now. Forumites may recognize most of the images. Note Russ Rubman's "Aquabass" on the rear cover, Peter Levett's leftie 4005 on the rear flap, and Tony Matura's 1971 4003 on the front flap. Love that shot of Chris Squire taken by Robin Kauffman. That's Brian Crisman's Lemmy among the oak leaves. Enjoy!

Nice, Paul. Hard to decide between this or the earlier version, but this one is cleaner looking. 8)

Congrats Paul, it must be very satisfying to be getting this close to completion. Your work is done. Let the presses roll.

You said "Tony Matura's 1971 4003"? That one threw me. But on the flap it's described as a 4001 so -- no need to stop the presses!
