Peter Banks
Peter Banks, who should be fairly well known here as a Rickenbacker Artist, passed away on March 8th. His aggressive playing was one of many who followed in the wake of Pete Townsend in the late 60's. Although only in Yes for two records, most fans remember and respected his early contributions to what would become known as progressive rock.
Rest in peace, Pete!

Now I have to go listen to Two Sides Of... which means setting up my turntable!

Truly sad news,i have nothing but love and respect for what Peter contributed to Yes,and all the other music he did, even recently. I'm going to dial up the Syn's reworked version of "time and a Word",and listen to that epic guitar solo he does near the end.....RIP,Peter.

Ah, man...that IS sad news Jim,
I didn't know. One by one, we're losing them.
Very sad news indeed. :*(

Re: Peter Banks
R.I.P. Peter, you were awesome. Those first two albums remain my favorites. His later solo stuff was excellent too. Search out his book too, "Beyond And Before". Informative, a bit sad at times, and parts of it are side-splittingly laugh out loud funny.
