Rob Hampshire Sighting!

Post by jps »

Is this the one and the same, our very own, RB in the pages of Mix, the recording industry magazine! There is a photo of him with his band at Sonic Wave Studios in Raleigh, NC on page 190 of the November '04 issue.

That's me! My band (Earthride) recorded with Mike Dean (Corrosion of Conformity bassist) at Sonic Wave... How can I get a copy of that mag?

I recognize that 4001... Now I could brag to my friends that I know that guy in the picture! Glad to hear that you're doing well Rob.

Hey Ron! I do love that autumnglo...

Jaymi, I'm way ahead of ya - the toaster is coming shortly, and I've got lots of 'guard plastic...

... And a sweet, new horseshoe.

(Yes... I AM going to haunt you for the rest of your life.)

That is a SWEEEET-A$$ Autumn-Glo, by the way. You should also try playing your bass just a LITTLE lower. (Chicks dig it.)

Have a closer look, Mitch - that is a horseshoe.

You makin' fun of my playing style, there, buddy? Image
I have to play it that low - look how long my freakin' arms are! Like 4 feet! I play it where it's comfy...

Sorry... Since I've never seen a horseshoe in real-life, I wouldn't be able to tell.

I'm not baggin' on your playing style. The fact that you have a playing style is commendable. I don't even play well enough to merit a "style" of playing.

Rob,
I picked the magazine up at Sam Ash yesterday.

Ron,
That is not the photo from the magazine, Rob doesn't have the bass in the pic, he is just sitting down glaring at the drummer! Image
