Yup, I dropped to D on my 2011 4003. I upped the string diameter to .112 from .106 (Circle K's). Sounds and feels great!! We recently went down to Eb,Ab,Db, Gb for most everything we play. I use a Whammy DT pedal to drop the one semitone instead of screwing with my set ups. So far so good!

Millersburg, Ohio is deep in Amish country so I find it interesting, that's all.

The D'adarrio EXL165 set feels great tuned to EADG or DADG. 45 65 85 105

I like the exl170 for standard. Those are 45 65 80 100, but dropping to D was too floppy.

All sets have thickness/tension stats and aren't usually expensive.

I grew up in Akron and had the same thought, "millersburg?"
