New 4004 Day!

Post by spongebob »

After a (brief) ownership of one some years back, I've finally managed to snatch myself another 4004Cii - a 2012.

What can I say? What an instrument. Looks fabulous, plays like a dream - and the new thinner necks make such a difference.

I always wanted one in Jetglo, and it certainly lives up to expectations. Compared to my 4003? Definitely an evolution, and still unmistakably Ric.

Proof is in the pictures.... :D

I am finding that I play most often on the neck PU soloed. Such a deep but growly tone, character to burn. Mine has the VVT mod. Let us know how you feel about the stock wiring please!

Good move, just got a pristine 2008 4004Ci myself, natural wood, plays fantastic. All three of my Ricks, (4003 and 3000), are set up perfect, great action and have never had any problems. Have fun.

Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .
