Pedal Board - Power Supply, Visual Sound 1-Spot Combo pack

Post by 8mileshigher »

I just ordered this "1 Spot Combo Pack" power supply from Music 1-2-3 for $27. The cable for the AC outlet plug seems pretty strong, thick gauge with thick rubber, (much better than the very thin, flimsy wire on the Boss power suppply it is replacing). So hopefully its good quality. Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with Visual Sound's power supply cables?

This one powers eight pedals.

Had one -works fine-replaced with Voodoo Labs pedal power supply. Digital and analog effects on the daisy chain can be noisy, but if you aren't having any issues with you Boss daisy chain, you should be good.

I had one, too, and it worked great until I replaced it with a Sanyo Pedal Juice. Power forever with no noise, and I keep the One-Spot as an emergency back-up.

I always attributed the noise to the single coil pickups, connector cable capacitance and flourescent lights, etc. Didn't realize the power supply for the pedals could be the culprit ..... :(

I have one, use it all the time, too. I haven't noticed any noise that can't be attributed to single coil pickups, lights, etc etc.

Another one for this power supply. It's lasted me three years now, and the only complaint I have with it is that it's got too many plugins, and I don't have the use for that many pedals. (I ditched the tone sucking Wah-wah two weeks ago)

Rich, I have one of those on my pedalboard. For $27, it's not bad. I have much less noise than when I had separate power supplies. I still get a little noise when my Aphex Punch Factory and Sansamp VT Deluxe pedal are both on. I might have to upgrade to the Voodoo Lab power supply if I want to eliminate as much noise as possible.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

When I was running multiple effects I had a VL PP; I don't recall which forumite bought it from me, I think Ross has is now. Maybe I should have kept it? :(
