"Mostly" Ted! Or definitely if it had this pickguard combo...T.A.R. wrote:fluffy wrote:It is very attractive and I'm sure interesting, but I just can't date it ....... My bass would get jealous, she's very possessive!!!!!![]()

Very cool! Looks like the extra routing is under the pick guard.

Thanks Paul. Looking at the examples in the register makes me think late '69 at the earliest and more likely to be '70 or '71. The headstock crest is nice and sharp though, not like some of the more rounded, bulbous examples of '70/'71. Hopefully the parts will turn up and provide the proof soon.bassduke49 wrote:I think the shorter, more square headstock started in 1971 and was continued during the shedua-strip neck-through era that started in spring '72. So my guess is 1971.
I'd say '71-early '72 as well.bassduke49 wrote:I think the shorter, more square headstock started in 1971 and was continued during the shedua-strip neck-through era that started in spring '72. So my guess is 1971.
That was classic...maybe that is where he kept his "stash"walker wrote:Holy SH*T! Look at that routing! Was that where he built his 2-car garage? Wow... I'm glad you're taking this on, the poor abused soul.
That's what I was looking for, but couldn't tell for sure if it had it or not.glking14 wrote:I think it's '69 or '70 due to no white plastic crown on bottom of neck, my '71 has one
