Call me crazy, but I am of the opinion that I should no longer "Bogart" these lovely instruments. I'm no longer in a band, I haven't played much in the past couple of years, and don't see becoming a rocks star in my future. I'll hang on to three or four, but the rest should be "distributed." Giving attendees of this event first crack at them seems fair; cash and carry, no shipping hassles, etc. As with the last Milwaukee event, there will NOT be an arranged "gig" as is typical of larger confluences.
Hey Paul: I understand your desire to avoid shipping hassles and such, but you have a number of basses that I am interested in. Giving first priority to Midwesterners makes sense, but I'm not able to make that get together and I would like a shot at those that you are willing to move. Do as you will; just trying to expand your market.

With fair winds and following seas, a POTR/MARF event would be of great interest to me. 8)

Looking forward.

From a Denver area forumite, I'd love to get together in August, Paul. I am also pretty sure that Jeff Rath still lives SW of Denver. I was over there 4 or 5 years ago I think. I've still got his address and number. There are also other Denver area forum folks that I've never met, so I guess you can act as the great facilitator. My wife and I have no plans to go anywhere then, so I should be around.
I'm one of the advanced Amazon buyers for the book, so I'm looking forward to getting it.

Since I live in Milwaukee, I don't think it will be too difficult to make it. I know the event won't be there, but NCM is right up the block from my house!

Hey Paul, I'd love to make the Milwaukee event. As usual, my summer gig schedule is getting busy, but if I'm free (and have the energy) I'll head up!

Thanks for the invite, Chris, but I'm not planning on anything overseas. :(
