Hmmm, Delaware is not far from where I live, in fact our band played up there last week. If I wasn't so busy with all things Christmas I'd try to get up there and check it out. I certainly don't have the cash for something like that right now. I must admit my curiosity has been piqued by this one though. The mono input with 4001 appointments, is that right? It would be nice to see a better pic of the inlays too.
I just might have to find a way to make it up there and have a look at it. Also, was jetglo so rare then that they had to spray over a fireglo?
Is everybody ready?

The jetglo story kinda makes sense as JH stated here that woods that were usable but, not perfect looking became jetglos. It's possible that they had a fireglo that didn't look quite right and did the jetglo thing when the order came in.

Not sure about the mono issue also, not sure when horseshoes were discountinued. Was it 64 or 68? In either case this is a 69.

I have never seen a horseshoe surround with that rear "extension" shape, anybody else?

Fender did do the same thing with their finishes. I saw a Dakota red Jazz that was factory finished over the traditional sunburst as seen through the wear.

Yup, I've seen Fenders with sunburst-over-Olympic-White with FAKE GRAIN! I hope RIC never do the same.
