On the 60's Ric looms I've seen, they were doing pretty tidy work with minimal solder. As a rule they used CTS dimpled back pots (prefix 137) 250K for volume, and 500K for tone & mixer on most guitars

John Hall informed someone on Voxtalks that Ric has already begun shipping the 360-12C63's to Japanese dealers. Early orders from Dave's & Mike Parks should ship soon.

Thanks Tom. It will be good to hear the owners' comments on these instruments when they arrive.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

You're welcome Peter,
This is great news, however, I need to clairify my post. The 360-12C63's are currently being shipped overseas to dealers who ordered 1st in great quantity....(not exclusively to Japan = my mistake)...Early domestic orders from Dave's and Mike Parks should ship soon.

Why would the initial shipment go overseas? After all the noise they make about being an American company, why not ship to the domestic market first - particularly when these guitars are unconscionably late to market?

Maybe they're trying to work the kinks out or get collector reaction in an out of the way location.
You want to put that where?

Likely the initial shipment would go Wherever the most interest[read;Dollars ready to spend, and highest concentration of ultra crazed Beatle fanatics who Have to have this guitar]. Not a matter that Rick is any respecter of persons here or showing favoritism.

To be fair - why not ship to England first? They knew about The Beatles before we did, right? Image

First in line is first in line, that's all.

Fantastic news. I'm sure they will be well worth the wait. Mine is probably still a ways down the line, as I didn't put one on deposit until August 2004, and I know some people have been waiting for years, but I'll wait patiently Image.
