Hi all,

Thank you very much for your detailed help. I think I have to spend more than 5 days in London, but my holiday is running out !

I checked out Forsyths in Manchester last November, when visiting my son, who is a student at Manchester University. It's a friendly, somewhat old-fashioned store, but with some very nice Rics on display - including, when I was there, a Fireglo 650 Colorado with one of the best paint-jobs I had seen in quite a while. They also had (and still do, judging by their website) a wonderful pre-owned 1992 360-6 in Mapleglo with Black Trim - one of my favourite colour combinations, as evidenced by my earlier posts/pics on the RRF (I'll not bore you all again).
Santa visits only once a year, but Santa Ana delivers Rics all year round.

I found Denmark Street rather disappointing when I've been there. Sure they have some good stuff, but nothing caught my eye as being particularly special apart from a Gibson Moderne - not that I wanted to buy one, but its quite a rare sight!

I'm glad to hear that the Rockinbetters are getting stamped out, always makes me feel quite angry when I see one that someone had the audacity for such a blatant rip-off.

First time I visited Denmark Street I was more disappointed by the "street" itself... they dare call that a street!

It's true that it 's quite a little street. But as short as its long history, and still Macari's shop down there.
Anyway when i hear "Denmark Street" i can't prevent myself from thinking of this song from the Kinks :

Just pop in at Graham Griffith's house. There's a rumor that he gives a vintage Rick to every third visitor. :D

Manchester beats London on most counts :D

Actually, Forsyths is fantastic, and has some of the best Rickenbacker stock in the UK IMO. There was a particlualrly nice 4004 in there when I visited a few weeks back. They're a proper traditional independent music shop, with top service in my experience.
