Vasco, that is.

And yes, this guy annoys me. I don't know why I let it bother me...I guess I really like Rics and hate misinformation?

I wish someone would put up a response video for this guy:

Thanks for letting me rant, guys :D

With his attitude against Ricks, WHY would anyone leave their Rick bass with him???

I think it's made worse by his voice. It's like watching a Trailer Park Boys episode where they fix a guitar.

Exactly!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Ha! I love that show.

I'd rather have Bubbles fix my 4003 than that guy.

Ricky, not so much.

It's his business. He's at liberty to sabotage it in any way he sees fit.

If you watch my videos in the Joey and Jangle section, you'll hear that I took at least one subtle swipe at this guy.
My videos used to be publicly available to view on Youtube, but many dummy storage sites that have no content of their own, only having the work of other people and making money with ads would steal them.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I'm glad there are people like you out there who are willing to share genuine knowledge about these instruments. I'll definitely check out your videos on here. :)
(your advice on here and on your "bass notes" site was a big help to me when I first got my 4003, btw)

As an aside, I guess what upsets me a bit is all the curious people that would be happy owners of a new 4003(and that want one) that this guy has turned completely away from due to his ignorance.

Anyone who actaully has the money and ability to buy a Rickenbacker instrument isn't going to change their mind because of a video on YouTube. Anyone who says otherwise probably had no real intention of buying one to begin with.

Thanks, this perspective made those videos more watchable. McKenzie brothers would have been a close seconds.

Ricky would definitely return something with duct tape on it, but my nightmare would be Randy playing my bass, all shirtless with those greasy cheeseburger fingers.

I hate that guy!! He and I and a few of his buddies sparred to and fro a year or so ago. Now I just ignore him. It's kinda like wrestling with a pig. It gets you no where. You end up getting filthy and the pig kinda likes it!!
