We did it in the USA, too.

Lithia, VA, 1955...

Look closely through the window!

The photographer is Winston O. Link, BTW.

O. Winston Link did some really innovative photography back in his day, like his Drive-In theater photo. 8)

I checked the search function about this one, not sure if this was posted here before, but for me this one is about the most magical video I saw in the last few months :

Ground Control To Major Tom (Singing canadian spaceman Chris Hadfield) :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOC9danxNo

Surely to be sorted in under "The Good" :)

I wonder how many people these days would associate a DB-25 connector with a serial port?

I used ones almost like that, in a plastic case though instead of the fancy wood one. Worked at 110 baud for my Teletype Model 38 ASR...

Hmmm...been a long time since I heard that word: "baud".

Back in '81, I bought my first Apple--an Apple II+, with a green screen monitor, two 5 1/4" floppy drives, a RAM upgrade from 48K to...(gasp!) 64K, and a HUGE C.Itoh daisy wheel printer. Modem, too; don't recall the baud rate.

Total for above: $5200 (1981 dollars, too. In 2012 dollars, that would work out to $13,100.00...YIKES!)
