Congrats Jeff, it looks like a nice one. If Jeff buys it, it will become a 5, or it will be wall art. Trust me on this. Image

hey if you really wanted it then you could have bid on it ...

I will evaulate it and see if I want to make a 5 string out of it ...

sometimes a ric bass is too clean and nice and I can't bring myself to modify it ...

I have a 4003 mg bt that is mint ... so it hangs on the wall for now ...

Here's hoping for wall art. Image

Congrats Jeff, that seems like a pretty good buy at that price. Remember what I said about that 4003 mg bt that's hanging on your wall.

ya it is pretty ... there is some flame and birds eye figuring in the maple and the black trim sets it off ... I bought it with the purpose of converting it 4 to 5 but I couldn't bring myself to drill a hole in a 99.9% mint bass ... it makes great wall art for now ...

Congrats Jeff! Image

If you post a few pics that'd be nice. I wished the eBay listing had a pic of the backside.

If it's the black-trim Mapleglo you want to see more of, here are a couple of shots I took when it lived here.

Well, that's a real pretty one too! Image

I really meant the Cheyenne that Jeff just got. The seller didn't have a back view, and I just love natural finished guitars.

What year is that Mapleglo? And it is a 4003, right?

The MapleGlo BT 4003 is GORGEOUS. Possibly the best MG one that I have ever seen. I was afraid to handle it for fear of putting a mark on it!

I don't know ... I will evaulate it for a while ... but I am thinking low B ...

Also the '79 4001 Jetglo that I got from you now has a toaster and a cleanup and setup ... it has a really straight neck and low action ... I rewired it, put a new pickguard on it, relpaced the rusty screws and put on new tuners ...

I will probably let Steve Cooper do a gig with it and then sell it ...
