Ampeg Micro VR all the way. I love this amp so much I bought two. And you can add another cabinet down the road if you need more power.

I used to play Ampeg, but after they closed their factory in St.Louis I dumped all their stuff and went back to GK. Apparently they sort of got the message and opened a plant in Washington state for the high end stuff, but it wasn't soon enough for me.

I still have and love my USA made Ampeg B100R.

I needed a little more volume that it was able to give me so after many many other amps, the GK is what was as good if not better than the Ampeg especially the current crop of Ampegs, minus the SVT's of course

Please note there have been a couple of political edits here. No politics please.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I have a Yorkville 200t (200 watts @2ohms) . It has 210s and that is about twice as much as I would need to play along with the sterio. Rain and "And Your Bird Can Sing" get me cranked up to eviction levels. Ashdown make a 40 watt/110 called Perfect Ten that would be a cool cube-shaped living room amp for $260.

I picked up a used Ampeg B50R (Made in USA) a few years back. I use it for practicing along with the stereo and it's great for that. It's a 1-12" version of the B100R, but with simplified controls (volume, bass, low mid, hi mid, treble). It's got kind of an old school vibe which I like (maybe not your thing). I've got one of those Sansamp BassDriver pedals that I sometimes use in front of it for a different tone. It's pretty compact for a bass combo and it looks nice, too! Good luck in your quest...
If it is to be, it is up to me.
