Best place for 4003 pickguards?

Post by tattooed »

I just got a 92 4003 jetglo and it needs a new pickguard. The binding cream colored and the guard is too bright. I'm thinking about a black/cream/black or just black. Where's a good place to get these?

The folks at Jeannies Pickguards are very good but you'd probably have to send them your old guard as a template...

They did a B/W/B/W/B EB-2 guard for me and it was spot on....other places are WD music and pickguard heaven...I don't think rickenbacker offers the black guards anymore but you could ask at pick of the ricks, rhoads music or northcoast music...all three are official rickenbacker distributers.

Tony at Pickguardian is a great guy to deal with. I have had several made from him and all were great, especially the vintage style lucite white painted one he made for my 4003FL.

I'll also second (or third) the recommendation for Pickguardian. I spoke to him directly and had my pickup cover in about 3 days. Great guy to deal with.

Don Adamek makes excellent pickguards for Rics, from the right material and in the correct dimensions.
