Thanks for posting that! Very cool. I saw them by accident in Boston in late 1977 or maybe early 1978. Anyway, I was walking to a new job and looked down the alley to the Orpheum Theater for the first time ever. The marquee proclaimed that The Ramones would be playing that night along with two groups I'd never heard of = Eddie & the Hotrods & the Talking Heads. I called my wife who concurred that we should go hear the Ramones and bought front balcony tix during my lunch break.

Eddie & the Hotrods were AWESOME! We loved 'em. I still have their first LP and a later live CD. They kicked ***.

Oh yeah, that Talking Heads band? At first I wasn't taken by them, but by the end of their set I was a rabid fan.

The Ramones were fun but really did not compare well to their opening acts.

Yes, I discovered them in '76 and saw them at the Penny Arcade around '79 or so. We were disappointed we didn't open for them. But, we did for The Romantics after their 1st album was released.
