Lefty 3001 for Sale

Post by GIBrat51 »

I am currently looking at a lefty 3001 bass that's for sale. From the pictures, it looks to be in good condition, except for cracks around all the pickguard screws. My question is, what is a good asking price for one of these? I'm pretty sure a lefty doesn't come around every day, but is a 3001 scarce/rare? What would you pay for this thing (assuming you were a lefty), and wanted a player, not a collector's item?

Well, there are 72 in the registry, none lefty, so it is rare, evidently. Righty list is here with pricing on the instrument page. Leftys would be a bit more.

Thanks. Stupid me; I keep forgetting that much info is available on the register. The price for this one seems reasonable (considering); however, I think I'll let a fellow lefty have it. I was hoping it was a short scale, but that would be the 3000. Would have killed 2 birds; another Rick bass, and a solid body short scale, which is one of 2 things I don't have in my herd. Oh, well... :)
