I ordered a copy from Amazon today as my birthday present to myself.... turning 51 today!
I missed out on getting a early 70's Ric as my present, so I figured the next best thing would be a book full of Rickenbacker bass porn!

Congratulations on the book!

That's a great idea for a thread: "Music to listen to while reading Paul's book." Maybe the 2nd Edition comes with the CD.

My mailbox is large enough to hold a copy of the book, provided that you roll it up, effectively folding it in half, before cramming it in. Just ask my mail carrier. I have no choice but to return mine for replacement. What a letdown.

Otherwise, the book is a feast. Thanks very much, Paul, and congratulations!

Just got the book. Had a quick look, I absolutely love it. The attention to every detail, the well-written text, the elegant design, of course the photos.

I'm looking forward to reading through it cover to cover, slowly, enjoying every word and every pic.

Every Ric bass player should own a copy. It's a must-have.

It's also the perfect gift for Fender bass players

Instant classic, Paul. My hat's off to you.

I'm not sure any of the U.S. contributors have their complimentary copies yet, I don't. But, Paul did say those would be coming from the publisher in early July. I had one on order long before I even knew I'd get a comp copy... and I'm glad I did 'cause I'd sure hate to be waiting...

I had made an Xcel file with about 70 names/addresses for the comp copies to go to back around the first of May. My contact there indicated at that time that the comp copies should be sent out right after the books came into the warehouse in early June. Obviously, that didn't happen. I called the office in New Jersey and talked with two of my contacts there, and neither one knew whether the comp copies had been sent, and that they would look into it. So I'm asking for patience, folks. This is my first (and probably only) dance with the publisher, and I don't want to seem difficult or ungrateful. They took a big gamble signing me on and have treated me with great care and enthusiasm so far. Hang in there!

A good friend stopped by with his copy yesterday. He went home without it.   So far I love what I see. Great layout. Tons of great info and pictures, plus now I truly understand a few things that I didn't before, that differentiates a couple of the models. Well worth the effort Paul. Kudos

I finally got home from travel to have a look at it. VERY well done Paul. It would be a waste of time to try and describe it....just go buy it! No way anybody could be disappointed.

Great price too, I would gladly have payed double that! Your dedication and heart felt love for the beasts shines through....
