Was just looking up the Canadian band FM that I saw open for Rush on the Moving Pictures Tour. Went to You Tube and saw a video of FM doing a song called Just Like You and Cameron Hawkins is playing a 4001 or 4003. I really used to dig the album Black Noise but this song from an '85 album called Con-Test sounds like the ripped of a really bad song from the Cars.
Tried to post the link but I could not not figure out how.

Re: Canada's FM
FM was a great band from Canada - the first band I ever saw live in 1977. The original lineup with Nash the Slash had no bass player - like the DOORS the parts were played on a keyboard.
This is my favorite track by them. Nash the Slash is playing electric mandolin..
Cool lyrics!
Hold fast
Hold on
Nothing is a dream, yet in
Changing
Faster
It never seems to be here long
Move on
Turn around
Just can't seem to find it, try and
Reach out
And hold out
I cannot touch the wind
I touch you
Reach out
Hold out
Nothing here is real, yet in
Searching
Farther
It almost seems to live until it
Moves on
Or turns 'round
Just can't seem to lose it, try and
Hold fast
And hold on
I cannot ride the wind
I ride you
Hold fast
Hold on
Nothing is a dream until you
Wake up
Cry out
Now it isn't real, now you
Hold fast
Nothing is a dream
Hold on
Just can't lose it now
Move on
Turning round
Wake up
You cannot ride the wind
Hold fast
Nothing is a dream
Hold on
Just can't lose it now
Move on
Turning round and round
Wake up
You cannot ride the wind

Re: Canada's FM
Haven't heard of FM for years. Great band! Thanks for reminding me!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: Canada's FM
Good call! I forgot about this band, I taped their album "Black Noise", now I have to see if I can find it somewhere lol Awesome sound. Thanks for the memory kick.
Just found the CD on Ebay and bought it. Can't wait!

Re: Canada's FM
Sure! Great band...I tuned in to them back in 1978 and they are often on my listening list. I did add the remaining CDs to my collection recently but it is hard to beat "Black Noise."
