Thanks everyone!
Yes, celebrated up at the lake. No TV, no Interweb, only a rotary dial party line phone (confuses the heck out of anyone 18 or younger!). Had to party old school, by and in the lake!! Great weekend. You can't party like that on Twitter or FB!!

I found an old rotary phone in a pawn shop the other day. I tried dialing it, man, that's something I haven't done in decades! Kinda fun in a nostalgic sort of way...

The photo studio at my old business still has a fully functioning rotary dial phone!

Actually, it's kind of amazing, those old phones were definitely built to LAST. I'm not sure you can actually wear one out...

The party line also has some nostalgic quirks. When we call out, it is pretty much long distNce to anywhere, and because you call from a party line, you have to respond to... a live operator!! Yup! One ringy dingy... two ringy dingy...
