OM - State of Non-Return

Post by Lefty4001 »

Fantastic stuff as always. Whole album is amazing.

The 5-string looks like a JG neck/headstock and MG body. How did it begin life? Maybe we can get some more information on it if Forum-member Alberto checks in?

OK, now we know about this bass, it's a PW refin:

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Gracias!

PW, huh? That guy worked on my bass! Go figure. Also, Paul is not wrong about "Advaitic Songs"

And that stoner/doom/whatever you-want-as-a-label made the Fox Theatre resonate this past summer. Rickenbacker/Marshall/Ampeg heaviness.

Al sez that one of his 4003s was present in that session, too.

Just saw OM in Montreal a couple weeks ago. Good times, I'd been itching to see Al play for years! He was swapping between the 5 and fireglo 4.

Tomorrow, OM will be performing at the Metropolitan Museum of New York in room housing the Temple of Dendur. Fantastic. If you're not familiar with the band, check them out. Buy a record. Al Cisneros is an active forum member here and PW, as he's mentioned, has worked on and maintained his basses. In fact, Paul teased us a while back with a 4080 project he was working on. I hope to see the finished item soon. :D

Have a great show guys!

The Times? I'm happy that they know, but too many words. Your artist (David D'Andrea) shared this link with lots of good pictures elsewhere and I'm passing it along here. Playing towards the Temple must have been inspiring.

Here's one that I should put over in the basses section. I believe this the 4003S5 that was refinished. Sounds as great as it looks.

That's a great shot.

It makes me want to strip my S5's body and see what's under it.

I can't explain why but I love playing that thing.
