The Book has arrived downunder!

Thanks for including some of my photos Paul.

The family tree at the end is fantastic.

I was expecting delivery on Monday but I've just received notification from Amazon UK that delivery has been put back until 23 August. :(

At this rate, I'm tempted to buy another copy from Amazon's US store as they have them in stock.

Got my copy of "The Book" a few days ago. Thanks Paul! I've been so busy with the new job, band and everything right now that I've barely had time to look at it. I did however find 6 of my basses, past and present in it! My "4008CS" custom on page 136 however, actually started out life as a 1997 4003MG, not a V63. Notice also that it has 21 frets, which necessitated a new fretboard.

Received my copy today and can hardly wait to start my journey through it.
First glance, wow very impressive and detailed.
Many years of research there and a huge credit to you Paul.

I got my comp copy yesterday...
Truly excellent!

A note on the production 4008 basses.
Although it is safe to presume earlier ones had the 3 piece neck, the early 80s ones like the one pictured (mine) does indeed have a two piece neck to match its early 4003 style truss rods...
The pick guard remains as a one piece though.
The neck joint could be a weak link however mine is well behaved..

The book however should be banned as it promoted RAS in a bad way....
