Well, history has certainly shown these silly reporters with their "non music" comments to be the fools they were.

The Beatles Gear book says that there are several pictures of George playing his Australian made Maton guitar. I have never seen any, so I did a quick search and found a couple. He looks pretty happy with it in one of them!

And more recently, the guitars have been made famous by the children's show, "The Wiggles," with each character having a guitar that color-matches his shirt:

I have viewed the documentary Good Ol' Freda....It's a great view. Very poignant. there's not a lot of new information in this film, however, it was fantastic to hear a first hand account from a woman who worked for/with The Beatles the entirety of their career together.
I expect it will be out on dvd, and I will be picking it up.
