Rattling Bridge Pickup Cover on 4003

Post by 4003SeaGreen »

I have a minor problem with my 4003, sometimes my bridge pickup cover rattles. It's annoying, I can't figure out how to make this go away. I've tried adjusting the screws on the sides, but that doesn't seem to help. I don't want to remove it, I like to rest my hand on it. Any suggestions?

Take it apart ,and change the springs that are on the height screws. You can get new springs at almost any hardware store. You might have to cut them to length ...but that is a solution.

A fast version would also be to take the springs and stretch them using two pliers.

I use a needle nose pair on one end and a standard type on the other...just stretch them to 1/8" longer ....that does it .This won't last forever ,but it should get you by in the meantime.

Then reassemble .
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!
