question about 360 WB necks

Post by gollygeeswell »

In getting ready to purchase a Rickenbacker and have a question. In the past I've owned a 330. It was a 2001. I loved the neck on it. I'm looking at 360 WB's. Is the neck on a 360 wb the same as on a regular 360? I haven't played a 360 in forever but I remember their necks as being very narrow. Am I remembering correctly that the 360 neck is narrower than the 330? And if so did that apply to the 360 wb? Thanks so much!

Nope -- 330 and 360 necks are the same width (as is the 620). The 650 and 660 are the ones with the wider necks.

I am 95% sure that the 360 WB has the same neck as a regular 360.

If you're talking about neck thickness rather than width, the neck profiles for both models have varied somewhat over the years but I think the 330 and 360 necks have always been the same at any given time.

It depends on the year; an early 80s or earlier 360 WB, like the 330, and 360, has a narrower neck with a more curved 9' 1/2" radius than a late 80s or early-mid 90s 360 WB with a flatter 10" radius.
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

"Uh, I like the double bounds. . . ."

My 1981 has a 1 5/8 inch nut and a rather rounded profile.
