FG finish and fretboard wood questions

Post by Jim Dandy »

I'm looking for a 330 six string and have been checking out a lot of guitar pictures on line. Recently, I've noticed that some of the FG finishes seem to have a much darker edge color than others. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

Also, it seems that the fretboards seem to have a whole lot more figuring than I remembered the last time I was looking for a Rickenbacker. Has the wood source changed?
