A Ricktarded question part 2
Hello my Rickenbrothers of the force
is Rickenbacker making thinner bass? I had a 2006 4003 and last week I went to a music store and tried a 2013 and it felt totally different. Did RIC shave some horn? Please let me know. It does look way prettier than the previous models...

I'm not sure whether the actual thickness of the bodies has changed, but from about 2009 the horn is thinner as you say. Some like it, others don't. I like the thinner horn personally.

Horn shape seems to change a bit from time to time. The horn shape now seems to be similar to the late 60's early 70's. Not at all like the late 70's and 80's horns. Not sure if I'd it bothers me at all but I do prefer the thinner 60's shape a bit more.

I heard a 1999-2008 4003 have the thickest neck and body.
