Yeah thanks alot buddy... No, I have not to answer your question. I am digging this amp though. I find myself more on the tube preamp side than the FET side.. What does that mean?

It means there is probably a Conrad-Johnson or Audio Research system in your future, if you don't already have one.

These days I use an Ampeg Heritage B-15 from the original hand wired batch of 50. Other than re-tubing and re-biasing with NOS RCA's, Mullard, and Sylvania's, I replaced the custom Eminence Commonwealth with a restored JBL D-140F.

Beginning in the early 70's, I have used Traynor, Ampeg SVT, Sunn Coliseum, Sunn Model T, Music Man, Lab Series L4 (that one lasted about 3 days before it let go) Hiwatt DR-201, and Reeves 225. If I were to purchase a gigging amp again, I would be interested in a Matamp GT200.

I recently switched to EDEN Wt-550C head.... Well, I never thought I could get a better tone than with my Markbass of fender super bassman, but yes I found it!! Well built amp, solid lows and warmth!

What cabinet are you using with it?

I have one that I used with the D410XLT. I retired it after switching to a Orange AD200B and an OCB115 cabinet.

I liked the EQ of the Eden and will eventually use it for the low end in a stereo setup.

I have a pair of tube amps (Actually it's a trio, but one is still packed at a friend's house due to lack of space) :
72' Ampeg SVT with 2 cabinets
67 blackface Fender dual showman that borrows a cabinet from the SVT for the time being.

I mostly play the latter as my SVT needs a cap job (again. Very frustrating) and I just can't find the time to get it serviced.

I also have a Silverface dual showman reverb that looks practically new with original RCA tubes and the original 2 15" JBL D130F cabinet. I can't wait to hear my ricks (basses and electrics) through it.

And I agree with Ilan, my Ricks sound spectacular with the 8x10 SVT cab whether it's been driven by the SVT itself or by the Fender showman.
So long and thanks for all the fish!
