Screws for 4003 Neck Pickup

Post by admin »

Hello everyone. I am looking for the size of the screws for the high gain neck pickup of my 4003. Any ideas. There is no way I can find them in the stores in my city. I don't think I can face another big box store.

Would the following be correct?

05302 Height Adj Screw 4-40 x 1/2" Cap Hex
06114 Height Adj Spring 5/32" o.d. X 1/4" length
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter, you do not need a spring for the neck, you need a rubber grommet. That screw is not the right one, it should be phillips head. The 4003.pdf file shows part 05203 but that is a wood screw, so that isn't right either. I looked at all the screws offered but I'm not positive of the threading and length. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hiya Peter, hiya John...it's such a simple and (seemingly) common little screw that I would have thought I'd have a few of them laying around. I took one off my 2009 4003 to be sure. And I don't have any laying around, or I would just mail you one. Sorry about that.
But as you can see; It's a 4-40 alright, and the threaded part is 1/2" long, with a #1 phillips head. Hope this helps.

That would be it. Thanks George!

Yes thanks George. The problem for me locally is finding the right thread. Yes and thanks for the grommet detail, John! I appreciate you both taking the time to provide this information. Not a straightforward question it would seem.

George your PM was most welcomed. I thank you for taking the time to help. I have, however, a couple of screws on the way. Thanks for the wonderful spirit. :)
