That's simply beautiful! Body shape reminds me of a vintage Rick Combo guitar.

Comes in pink, too. For that price, can I get a hard case, too?

Sometime back I started following this guy on Facebook.

Small batch, handmade guitars, which might explain the high prices a bit. Hard to build a budget guitar in the US these days. The Combo style guitars look particularly interesting, but I'm worried those rosewood boards would feel like a cheap Epi or something.

IMO, that's a very reasonable price.

That's a good shape for a short scale Ric bass. Maybe someone in Santa Ana is seeing this.

I like that the upper body wing is Combo-style and the bottom horn is 325-style. I like their choice of headstock shape and logo (not emulating Ric's TRC), and the Shadow-esque black position markers.

The knots in the wood, I could live without.

The pickup spacing is very interesting. Not a fan of the knotty wood, but several other finishes look very nice (except that pink).
Not that I'm in the market, but I'm more drawn to the guitars.

Pickup spacing looks like a 4005.

I have one. The only maple necked one. It's wonderful. Absolutely quality craftsmanship.
Mine is the purple one on his website. I ordered it custom from him.

Here's another "Ric bass that was never built": Waterstone Meaden, sort of a 330F bass.

I wish RIC had built one. In Blueboy 8)

The Tulip and Combo bodies are not protected. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=373101 JH made some cryptic comments last July in a previous Nelson thread but it's been over a year and they're still around.

Sorry, but the pickguard looks off on that bass. Like a fat man with a short tie.
