Peter really loves the guitar and desperately wants to hang on to it but I also rather enjoy it too so I don't know what we're going to do!

The answer is easy: Paul must build one o these for Peter Buck (I know Tom Petty has two one off Rics for the last tour in Europe and I can see them in person in the Dublin concert)

No, this is not a Paul W. instrument.

Peter had his choice of the special 75th anniversary 12-stringer assembled and setup by Paul from factory parts or this instrument, which is a standard factory instrument. I wasn't there when he made his choice so I don't know why he chose this one- maybe just as simple as that he didn't want or need a 12-stringer for this tune.

I did give four options to Peter, two of which involved a referral to Paul. We'll see what he does, if anything.

Ah Ok, seems to me a Paul instrument cause The pickguard. Anyway is true Peter usually use 6 strings guitars in all performances of this song live.

The guitar Peter B was playing didn't have a pickguard.

Wow!

Being a massive R.E.M./Peter Buck fan, I obviously watched this. Saw the Rick acoustic and thought - when the hell did he get that?! I think I have a rather good knowledge of Peter's gear, and was susprised I had never seen nor heard about this one before. But here was the explanation then... Cool! If Peter ultimately doesn't want it, I could offer myself up to take care of it. Might even fly over to CA to pick it up if that makes it easier for you...

I saw Tired Pony live earlier this year in London, and it's great music. Liked the first album a bit better than the second, but altogether nice stuff!
