It is simpler, but there is something about having the WHOLE guitar set up like this that makes it more worthwhile to me.

Hey, Jaymi, you got the pickup?
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Could you picture what that would look like on a laredo?

I'd be interested in seeing a Canadian version, although I have a feeling there's not enough going on with our flag. Just some red, white, and a maple leaf. :D

Turn the headstock into one like on one of Bootsy's basses!

Jeff--that's it. Other than the headstock--run the red and white stripes through it, sort of as you've done on the body.

On the back--for me, anyway, it must be an eagle on a Blueboy background. Who could do a good job with the paint?

Alrighty then!!!! I strung the bass up last night and all I can say is....OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHH.
This is the reason why I liked this bass in stripped form....It is really solid now....I will post more pics after I get the pickguard shield made with the matching lines...
