I started this thread last Feb because it will be 50 years this month since the Rose Morris export models first came to the UK. It's been a great thread with some fabulous pictures of some outstanding RoMo models. As yet there is no news of any official recognition of the event, but maybe there's still time, who knows... So in the meantime I'll finish with an object of desire for me. This January 1964 1997 is owned by a friend, but I keep asking and asking and maybe one day he'll let me pay him lots of money for it. Happy new year everyone. Cheers, Mark

Thanks for sharing this Mark. That one is an absolute belter! 8) Great to see one of these (which must have been from the very first export batch in 1964) surviving in such wonderful condition.

Beautiful 1964 Model 1997 Mark!
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I totally agree - I'm afraid that my RM 1996 & 1997 reissues can't really compete with the real deal from the 1960s

Happy New Year to all.

Jim - very nice Fireglo shading on the 1997 RI!

The 1996 is, of course, Amber FG. 8)
