Glad you're liking the pan pot,Guy, The more i think about it,that is what i wished i had done, but the current layout is working fine for me,so i will probably just carry on with it.

Forgot to mention that the push/pull tone pot for coil tapping both HB1s is awesome too - straight back to 4001 territory, albeit WITHOUT the vintage tone cap! I chose to have both switchable on a single switch, rather than each one separately, this being possible with a double pole switch, but not with a single pole switch.
Now - I could change the volume pot, also for for a push pull pot, and have the 0.0047 switchable on the bridge pickup, for true 4001 cloning. Actually, I'd have the coil-tap switch on the volume pot, and the 0.0047 capacitor switch on the tone, not that it really matters.
