Yes I am! :)
I am as well. . . I think we might be carpooling; we can use my Disney Pass to park for free. :D
If there's room in the car, I'd like to get in on that as I'll be attending as well! I need you guys to be my NAMM guides too. A one day visit with the flu wasn't the best first experience.

If you can't make it to NAMM this year, just look at the pictures of the Rickenbacker stand from last year, or the year before that, or the year before that, or the year before that, or the year.....

. . . spoken by someone who has never actually been there.

The exhibit last year was new and we moved up to the main aisle. This year's stand has again been significantly altered. For what it's worth, it costs close to $200,000 each year to mount a stand like this. NAMM's floor space alone cost $45,750 this year.

As far as products . . . well, it's no fun to preview them here anymore, if only partly because of comments like these. You can wait and see what might appear like everyone else. Or in your case, until March 1st and 2nd at Bingley Hall in Birmingham.

Nahhh, I think it's gonna look a bit different this year, but you'll have to wait for pictures...if you wanna see...if you don't, you might miss out, but maybe not...you never know...

Yeah, the fun does get squashed by comments like the one from TSS. 7 posts and never been to NAMM.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Why would you assume that I've never been over to NAMM? Because I live in the South of England? For many years I worked in the entertainment industry and I have actually attended the exhibition many times.
My original post was actually done tongue in cheek.

How would we know? Most of your eight posts on this forum are lambasting RIC in one way or another. :!:

Not at all.
I would suggest you read through them again.

"Entertainment industry"? "Exhibition"? That only reinforces the perception that you've never been!

Here's what I would like, both as the new color of the year and a new model guitar: it's a beautiful Model 1993 12-string in Sea Green Pearl. The photo is from Rickenbacker's Facebook page. What a gorgeous guitar and a gorgeous color! I would start saving up now if they announce this model/color combination!

I think all Rickenbackers would look awesome in that color!

I wonder where the 1993/12 ended up? According to the Rickenbacker Facebook page, it was used for a Chevy Silverado commercial.

I don't see how it makes any sense to label this guitar as a Model 1993. Leaving aside a number of minor details, there are several quite fundamental differences. First, the original Rose Morris export "Model 1993" was only ever made in Fireglo. Second, unless my eyes deceive me, there is no binding on the body of this green guitar; aside from the f-hole, the other key distinguishing characteristic of the original 1993 was that it had an unbound dot inlay neck (like a base 330) but married to the double bound "luxury" spec body of a 360 OS. Third, this guitar uses a modern style 24 fret neck (and although you can't tell from the picture, presumably also the modern style headstock with the cut through routing); whereas the 1993 was a vintage 21 fret neck/headstock.

I'd say the most sensible designation for it would be something like Sea Green Pearl 330/12 SPC (with SPC in this case mainly highlighting the non-standard latest shape f-hole).
