Nice work, Paul W

Post by Lefty4001 »

From artist David D'Andrea's Facebook page. SLEEP is playing in Albequerque tonight and he shared this picture.

I really like this green.

This one must be neck(s)-thru, right? Compare to the neck/body joints on this bolt-on (and glued-in) 4080/12:

Here is a link to Paul's website showing some build photos on this project. The necks are the same as you described, not thru. I haven't seen a checker-bound neck before. Kinda cool.

I want to hear the song(s) it was playing.

I'd love to own one if it could be under 11 lbs. Chambering the body could help, but what about neck dive if the body was lighter?

Such basses are cool and all, but I rarely see anybody play the 2nd neck. Maybe I just don't see them playing on the right song…..

You are not supposed to play the second neck, it's there only to make a statement, "yes I can play guitar but I choose to play bass".

Really? No need for a Rick? There is NO other bass that sounds like Rickenbacker. Thanks.
