Usually you'd be right but not always, as recent experience has unfortunately taught me. :?

On occasions, even "reputable" sellers or dealers can prove to be unreliable and untrustworthy, so make sure you ask all the relevant questions about the condition of the instrument before you commit yourself, then keep your fingers cross that when it arrives, its conditon matches what you were told or what the ad states.

Buyer beware. 8)

Gee I just hate buying on eBay, especially such a valuable item. Thanks for cheering me up ;)

I've had such luck with eBay that I eschew it for even little things...

Living in Australia, I either buy RIckenbackers on eBay, from vintage instrument shops in the US or from forum members (in the US). I bought probably 11 Rickies this way over the last 2 years and I still have to be disapointed with a single one.

I understand it is best to try before you buy. But when you cannot, well you just cannot. A leap of faith is what you have left.

Served me well so far.

Hopefully you're not actually looking for "MB" as you'll probably not find a Montezuma Brown anywhere at this point. MID or Midnight Blue.

For the record, 235 4003 MID's were shipped to Europe last year. There are currently open, unshipped orders for them from Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, and the UK for 74 more. Beyond that it's not possible to be more specific as we simply don't know what plans the distributor or dealers may have for the allocation of the goods.

While it might not be the stellar seller as JG Jetglo or FG Fireglo are, it's still a reasonably popular item, which is to say our customers are likely to continue reordering them in numbers appropriate to retail sales.

Thank you very much for that information. I will try my best to find one. Sad Thomann didn't have any of those 235.
