Welcome to the forum Javier! Thank you for your input. I have had similar experiences with so called "reputable products", and even though everyone else may endorse the product., If I have a bad experience with it, I will never own another piece of their equipment again.

Back when I started playing, there wasnt much to choose from when selecting equipment, intstruments, or other gear. Now however, there are just to many choices to select from, If someone mentions negative feedback on a particular item that I may be interested in, I will pass on it just for that fact.

Life is to short.

Maybe the defective Gator cases were built on the day before or after a holiday...I used to work on an assembly line and you really didn't want to get stuck with a product that was built say, on the the 5th of July or Jan. 2nd!! Even the Quality Control guys were hungover, but that was a long time ago when I was a younger man and to paraphrase Clint Eastwood from The Unforgiven "I ain't like that no more!!!"

With all due respect, who cares what the reason is? The point is if I spend good money on a piece of gear, I expect it to work. Honestly, I work too hard for my gear to have it fail on me.

Amen, Javier. ;) I am a lot like that, if something fails inexplicably, I no longer use their stuff. I am fiercely loyal to those things that do not fail me. Everyone has experience and opinions that shape their views. Thankfully, there are a lot of options out there.

Javier, with all due respect, you yourself stated that it wasn't your money but the schools and if the gear failed after only two months shouldn't they/you have been able to return the merchandise to the seller for a refund and/or exchange or credit? I certainly don't blame you for being dissapointed or angry..I have an issue with a major purchase right now, but the company is reputable and they WILL MAKE IT RIGHT...I was mearly stating, from experience, that QC can sometimes be lacking even in an otherwise reputable company.

I know it wasn't my money...and the school took too long and the store wouldn't exchange it anymore, and well, now they are stuck with it. I just was unhappy with the way the product performed. I just meant to say that if I have another option, I will likely choose it first.

Javier, sorry for my rant..just a bad day and PO'd about my own unsatisfied situation..(instant karma?)I might have to go to court to get satisfaction on poor workmanship/service...your peers put their trust in your experience and a defective product made you look unprofessional! Welcome aboard and a Happy New Year to you as well!!! dm

Sorry to hear about that. Having to resort to legal recourse always sucks. I hope things go well for you and you will be able to get your matters resolved. Take care...
