360/12 - Installing NEW Ric 6 string bridge

Post by mikestop »

Hi. I own a 360/12 made in 1967. I converted it to six string 25 years ago. I'm thinking of replacing the original and rusted 12 string bridge with a new Ric 6 string bridge. My question is, do these come with the string slots already cut or is it up to me to cut the slots. What tools would be needed and any tips on how to do it correctly if I need to. Thanks! Mike...

Hi Mike,

While I can't say for sure, I doubt that the six saddle bridge is slotted from the factory. Here is a tutorial on doing a twelve saddle bridge that will provide some tips, techniques and a tool list.
